Deveza means "protected land" and is part of a nature reserve in São Pedro do Sul in Central Portugal.

It's 3,5 hectares of land is filled with 1100 vines and lots of fruit trees; oranges, lemons, cherries, kiwi, apples, pears, olives and apricots.

It has it's own water wells and a swimmingpool for hot days.

Although it's situated 400 mtrs above sealevel and surrounded by mountains, it's only a 4 minute drive from the town centre. 

São Pedro do Sul offers plenty of possibilities;  supermarkets, bars, restaurants, a cinema

and the famous Termas are just a 10 minute ride away. The city of Porto is only a little over 1 hour away.

 

We, Giel, Karin, our daughter Selah and our dogs Maka and Sjakie, love to welcome you to this beautiful green oasis.

In 2020, together with the help of volunteers, friends and family, we completed the renovation of the Lemon Tree House. In 2021 the old barn has been completely converted into a chill area, where you can enjoy homemade pizza from the wood oven at our long table, and order the most delicious drinks and every day fresh breakfast. 

 

Spread over the land you will find several hammocks and "hidden gems"; relaxation spots hidden in the vineyard. It's a true paradise to spend your holidays in.

Giel is a skilled carpenter and loves to work his magic in the kitchen during our family dinners and retreats.

Karin is a Rebirthing Breathwork Facilitator and illustrator.
