Imagine having all the people who matter most to you together in one special place in Portugal. No rushing. No rigid schedule. No wedding day that flies by before you’ve even had the chance to take it all in.
Instead, you have an entire weekend. Arriving together. That first drink at the bar. Good food around long tables.
Waking up the next morning, having breakfast together, taking a dip in the pool and slowly getting ready for the big day. Getting married surrounded by nature, sharing a long dinner as the sun goes down, and celebrating together afterwards.
And the next morning? One more breakfast together, talking about everything that happened the night before. That’s what getting married at Land of Deveza is all about.
From 2027 onwards, we’re opening our small-scale venue in Central Portugal for a limited number of weddings each year.
A wedding|the Land of Deveza way
We love beautiful things. Good food, great music, long tables, atmospheric lighting and attention to detail.
But we don’t think it needs to be complicated.
No tightly managed wedding day where every moment is planned down to the minute. No formal affair with endless rules and traditions. And no wedding that needs to look perfect just for the photos.
Here, things can be relaxed.
A cold drink at the bar. Kids running around. Someone jumping into the pool. A table filled with good food. Good wine. Music playing in the background. A ceremony surrounded by nature, followed by plenty of time with your family and friends.
Informal, personal and, above all, a lot of fun.
That doesn’t mean we leave things to chance.
Quite the opposite.
Behind the scenes, we make sure everything is taken care of. We think along with you, prepare the venue, coordinate with suppliers and make sure everything runs as it should.
But as a guest, you should hardly notice any of that.
It should simply feel like you’re spending a few amazing days in Portugal with all the people who matter most to you.
A place to be together
Land of Deveza is surrounded by the green countryside of Central Portugal.
It’s a small and peaceful place surrounded by nature, with different types of accommodation, a swimming pool, a bar and several spaces where you can eat, drink, get married and celebrate together.
During your wedding weekend, the place is all about you and your guests.
Up to 30 guests can stay with us overnight, while on the wedding day itself we can welcome approximately 100 guests.
This means your closest friends and family can stay with you for the entire weekend, while additional friends and family can join you for the wedding day.
No large wedding venue hosting several weddings at the same time.
Just your people, in your place.

Why not a whole weekend?
A wedding day goes quickly.
Very quickly.
Before you know it, the ceremony is over, dinner is being served and the DJ is announcing the last song of the night.
That’s exactly why we love the idea of making it last for several days.
Your guests arrive, settle into their accommodation and meet at the bar. The first drinks are poured, some music is playing and, little by little, the weekend begins.
In the evening, everyone eats together.
The next morning, breakfast is waiting. There’s time to relax, hang out by the pool, get ready and simply enjoy being together.
Later that day, it’s time for the ceremony.
Then drinks, good food around long tables and, eventually, a great party.
And when everyone wakes up the following morning, it doesn’t have to be over just yet.
Coffee. Breakfast or brunch. Stories from the night before. Maybe one last swim in the pool.
And then, slowly, it’s time to say goodbye.
For us, it’s those moments before and after the wedding itself that make a wedding weekend so special.
Well taken care of, without the fuss
A relaxed wedding doesn’t mean that things should just happen somehow.
Quite the opposite.
Good food matters to us. We want the venue to look beautiful. We want your guests to feel welcome and looked after. And we want every supplier to know where they need to be and what’s expected of them.
But none of that means your wedding has to feel stiff, formal or overly luxurious.
We love that combination:
Well organised, without feeling overly organised.
Beautifully put together, without going over the top.
Special, without being formal.
And, above all, with plenty of personal attention.
Land of Deveza isn’t a large events venue. You’ll be in direct contact with us, and together we’ll talk through what you want your weekend to look like.
We get to know you, think along with you and help wherever needed.
Is Land of Deveza right for you?
We don’t want to be the right wedding venue for everyone.
If you’re dreaming of a very formal wedding, a tightly scripted schedule, an extravagant luxury event or a day where every detail needs to be perfectly choreographed, there are probably other venues that will suit you better.
But perhaps you’re thinking:
Keep it simple. If everyone we love is there, the food is good, the drinks are cold, the music is great and we’re having an amazing time, we’re happy.
Then we’ll probably understand each other.
Land of Deveza is for couples who care more about atmosphere than protocol.
Couples who don’t just want to invite their guests to a ceremony and a party, but want to spend a few proper days together.
Who love the idea of waking up in the same place as their closest friends and family.
Who love Portugal, being outdoors, good food, good company and a place where everything doesn’t need to be perfect to feel just right.
Personal attention
This might be the most important difference of all.
Land of Deveza is small-scale.
And we want to keep it that way.
We want to know who is getting married here. We want to understand your plans. We want to know who is staying with us and what kind of weekend you have in mind.
You won’t be just another wedding in a long line of events.
That’s why, from 2027 onwards, we’ll deliberately host only a limited number of weddings each year.
It allows us to give every wedding the attention it deserves.
And to make sure that, for a few days, Land of Deveza doesn’t feel like a wedding venue.
It simply feels like your place in Portugal.
